Welcome to Central Montessori Academy
We are an intimate, independent, pre-kindergarten to sixth grade Montessori school in northwestern Cincinnati. We are a nurturing community to child-centered learning, individual teacher attention and diversity. With student teacher ratios no higher than 12:1, we can focus on each child's needs, to help them learn to overcome challenges and grow.
Applications are accepted throughout the year. Please call to schedule a tour (513) 742-5800.
We look forward to hearing from you, meeting you and your child.

Payment for tuition may be made over a ten-month period (July thru April).
Steps to Enrollment...
1. Visit Our School
The first step is to plan a visit to our school to see our classrooms in action. Classroom tours are scheduled by appointment, and take place from October through May during the school year. Summer tour dates are also available.
Please fill out our online Inquiry Form, or contact us at 513-742-5800, x10 to schedule a tour.
When you visit us, here are some important things you may wish to look for:
- How are the children choosing their work? (In the Montessori classroom, individual lessons are called "works.")
- What works are they choosing?
- Are the children working independently?
- How do the children seek help when they need it?
- What interest and concentration do the children display in their work?
2. Application
A completed application and non-refundable application fee are required for enrollment consideration. Applications are available at the school office.
3. Interview
Upon receipt of the completed application and the application fee, you will be contacted to schedule an interview. Interviews are conducted by CMA teachers. Interviews are mandatory, and are designed to evaluate the level and the capability of the child.
4. Acceptance & Contract
Children already enrolled in the school, and their siblings, have priority for enrollment over children who are applying for enrollment for the first time. In addition, children whose educational background is consistent with the Montessori method will have priority for enrollment over children whose background is otherwise.
A priority enrollment period is offered to current CMA families in February, and Open Enrollment begins in March.
A key objective in CMA's acceptance policy is to develop the proper balance in age, sex and maturity in each class. With the above consideration, the faculty and administration confer to determine the admission of each child.
Upon agreement, each prospective member will be given a parent contract, which will detail total tuition for the year, a school handbook (including the school's constitution, by-laws and philosophy), and all necessary health forms.
Admission is not considered complete until the receipt of signed parent contract, a signed handbook acknowledgement form, any required health forms and tuition deposit.
