Kristin Patterson
My name is Kristin Patterson and I am the Head of School at Central Montessori Academy. I started at CMA in 2006 as an elementary teacher. In 2012 I was the Assistant Head of School and then in 2013 became the Head of School. I graduated with my undergraduate degree from Xavier University in Elementary Early Childhood Education and hold a certificate from the American Montessori Society in Montessori Elementary 6-9 year olds. I completed a graduate degree in Biological Science Education from Miami University. CMA gives children wonderful outdoor and science experiences through the natural playground and nature trails on the 5 acre campus. CMA is an amazing school with a dedicated staff that goes the extra mile to help children love learning.

Admissions Director and Office Manager

Cheri Hauer
My name is Cheri Hauer and I am the Admissions Director and Office Manager at Central Montessori Academy.  I started my journey with CMA in January, 1996 with the enrollment of our oldest son, Jake.  After volunteering in the office for a year, I was offered a full time position as the Administrative Assistant.  I am so thrilled to again serve this amazing community of students, families and staff for my 22nd school year!   I truly have THE BEST JOB in the world!  All three of our children are graduates of CMA. Jake (28) graduated from UC with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, is a soldier in the U.S.Army and is proudly serving as a Police Officer.  Cara (24) is attending Cincinnati State focusing on Education.  She will be working at CMA helping in the Toddler classroom and saying “I DO” in September!  Nick (19) is studying Business at UC and Loves to golf!  Our family adores CMA and is so appreciative and proud of our continued relationship!

Business Manager

Rob Reed
My name is Rob Reed and I am the Business Manager at Central Montessori Academy. I joined the staff in 2016 but have been a part of the CMA family since 2011 when my son, Nathan, began attending school here. Not having been previously exposed to the Montessori approach, I quickly discovered that this philosophy, combined with the unique dedication of the CMA teachers, staff and parents, had created an environment where children thrive and truly enjoy their time at school each day. CMA kids are confident, independent and eager to learn and to take on new challenges. The joy and satisfaction I’ve experienced watching my son and his classmates grow and develop in their time at CMA is difficult to put into words.

I hold a B.A. in Business Administration and a minor in Psychology from Hanover College. Prior to joining CMA, I spent over 16 years in various roles in the banking and finance industry. I’m so lucky to get to spend my days with amazing people, both faculty and students, while using my financial skills and background to support an organization and cause I’ve grown to care about deeply. Central Montessori Academy is a special place filled with incredible people and I couldn’t be more blessed to be a part of it.

Jena Steinkamp

My name is Jena Steinkamp and I am the Administrative Assistant at Central Montessori Academy. I will be helping with CMA’s brand growth and supporting the entire staff, students and families of CMA.  I joined the staff in 2018 but have had a long history with CMA. I was one of the first students to go through the entire program at CMA, starting as a 3 year old and graduating from the 6th grade in 2002.  After CMA I graduated from Clark Montessori High School and then the University of Cincinnati in 2013 with a BS degree in Community & Public Health Education and Promotion.

Growing up in Montessori schools has been one of the best experiences I could have ever asked for because it has helped me be a more well rounded person in society.  The community building and life skills that I learned throughout my educational years set me up for success and for understanding the world around me.

I am the youngest daughter of Rene’ Steinkamp, who teaches in the Upper Elementary classroom. I love to play soccer, be active, creative, and listen to all kinds of music. I’m passionate about giving back to the community and to live life to the fullest. I’m very excited about this new opportunity and it feels nice to come ‘home’ to CMA.
